Even secondary school students may find it difficult and challenging to memorise the elements in the periodic table. Defying the odds, a 9-year-old student has successfully managed to recite all 118 atomic elements in the periodic table.
Yes, it’s possible! This young boy proved that age is not a big factor when the subject captures your interest.
On 12th March 2022, Pranav Praveen successfully secured a spot in the prestigious Malaysia Book of Records for reciting the Most Number of Atomic Elements Identified by a Child, with a total of 118 atomic elements.
With this distinguished feat, Pranav who hails from Kuala Lumpur expressed his joy on his notable achievement at such a young age.
“His inquisitive mind is the trigger that got him interested in the periodic table,” says Praveen Visuvalingam, father of this genius child.
Speaking to Varnam, Pranav is currently studying at SK Sek 1 Bandar Kinrara and his interest in this chemistry-related subject sparked after he discovered a video on YouTube of the periodic table being performed as a song.
“The song kept playing in my head and it has helped me to remember the entire table,” this young genius told Varnam, explaining how he was able to memorise all 118 atomic elements.
Pranav, who aspires to be a chemist or an animator in the future, expressed his hope on setting many more records in coming days.
Congratulations to you lil’ one and all the best on your future undertakings!
