Remember that mind blowing rendition of Humma Humma by Benny Dayal & Funktuation on YouTube? They are back, and this time with their own Tamil composition, Oora Paaru.
The catchy number is said to be Funktuation’s take on we are constantly rushing in today’s world. The lyrics remind us how important it is to make memories and live life to its fullest. Penned by Christopher Pradeep G, the lyrics go on to tell the listener to embrace the moment, and the ups and downs of life.
The song is said to be of the Electro-Funk genre of the 80s. The bass melds well with the Latin percussion instruments while doing justice to the folk Tamil vocals. There is also a pop synth element, with the 707 drum machine.
Oora Paaru is produced by Funktuation, with vocals by Benny Dayal. Benny, a renowned singer in the Tamil and Malayalam industry was introduced by A R Rahman, with the song Maya Maya from Baba. Popular Chennai based guitarist, Joshua Satya is also a part of this song, along with percussionist Allwyn Jeya Paul and bassist Carl Fernandes.
