It must have been difficult for Kisona Selvaduray to face former world No. 1 Saina Nehwal of India, but she conquered her fears and stunned everyone with her remarkable victory yesterday.
Women’s singles S. Kisona advanced to the quarter-finals of the Swiss Open with an impressive win against former world No. 1 Saina Nehwal of India on Thursday.
The world No. 64 advanced to the next round after winning three sets in 55 minutes, 17-21, 21-13, 21-13, to earn her first World Tour quarter-finals since the 2018 Orleans Masters.
It should relieve some strain to the 24-year-old shuttler who has been chastised for her poor performance since winning the 2019 Sea Games.
Today, Kisona will face Thailand’s Supanida Katethong, world No.29 to secure a spot in the last four.
Good luck in your forthcoming matches, and continue to go for the victory!
