Rajinikanth’s swag, Vijay Sethupathi’s rage, Simran’s wit, Trisha’s grace and Bobby Simha’s bad boy walk. Is there anything else we need from a Tamil movie?

Petta is set to hit the screens on the 10th of January and the trailer for the film has finally been released.

The Karthik Subburaj directorial will also feature Nawazudin Siddiqui and Susinthiran while Anirudh is the music director.

Rajinikanth appears to be taking on a very different persona with this film, unlike Karikaalan from Kaala and Vasigaran from 2.0.

In Petta, Rajinikanth plays Kaali, a hostel warden with a dark past who is generous with punch dialogue. Simran may be his love interest. Superstar’s happy go lucky persona is a real charmer, and we are waiting with bated breath on how Kaali turns out to be on the big screen. Just two weeks more!

Tell us what you think about Petta!
