Male beauty pageants have surged in prominence over the last decade, and many pageants have been held throughout the world, presenting many refined gentlemen. In that regard, Universal Music Malaysia (UM) presents Mr World Malaysia 2022 to unearth new talents and diversify its talent management portfolio under Celebrity360, a talent arm of the company.
Carrying the theme ‘Men with Dimensions’, Mr World Malaysia 2022 will kickstart with an audition to take place on 15 May 2022 at UM’s headquarters office in Petaling Jaya.
A shortlisted group of candidates will be revealed at a press event in June and prelude to the final gala event is expected to take place in August, the candidates will go through various rounds of preliminary activities such as physical challenges, fashion and beauty regime, plus a culinary course to showcase the embracement of modern masculinity.
UM is also extending an invitation to Malaysian fashion designers to participate in the national costume showcase where the winning designer will have the chance to have the costume worn at the world finals of Mr World 2022 which are expected to take place in the United Kingdom later this year.
The winner of Mr World Malaysia 2022 will eventually earn the right to represent the country at the prestigious international event organised by the Miss World Organization and stand a chance to win cash prizes and the opportunity to be signed as a talent with Celebrity360.
These are the requirements needed for you to be crowned Mr World Malaysia :
- Open only to single Malaysian males.
- Age between 18 to 35 years as of 1 January 2022.
- Minimum height 170cm & above.
- Exudes the charm & personality of a true Malaysian man.
