The recent brutal murder which took place at Kampung Talang Hulu in Kuala Kangsar has gripped the entire nation. While waiting for the official confirmation of who was killed and burnt, a lot of rumours have been circulating around social media platforms.
To clear the air, Perak Police Chief, Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid revealed the real identity of the victim as Pavethira Pillay, an upcoming Tik Tok influencer. The identification was made by her 19-year-old brother as he found the clothes and accessories that his sister wore on the day she was murdered at the crime scene.
World of Buzz has stated that a post-mortem examination on the body of the victim confirmed that she died due to blunt trauma to the head as well as severe injuries from being burnt. Besides that, a blood-stained chunk of concrete was discovered near the victim’s body, which is believed to be the murder weapon.
Currently, a 20-year-old man, believed to be the victim’s boyfriend has been taken into police custody to give his statement. Having said that, the case will be investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
“The man has been remanded for seven days starting 4 June 2022 to assist in the investigation,” said Mior.
