Jaanu Wins Best Actress

We are only a few days into 2019 and the gyms are still full with folks trying to achieve their #FitnessGoals. Some others are busy reaping the seeds they sowed in 2018, like the line of deserving actors and production teams that were recognised at the prestigious Vikatan Awards.

The Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards or Vikatan Awards is an annual award ceremony by the Ananda Vikatan magazine in the Tamil film industry. Actress Trisha won the Best Actress award for her role as Jaanu in Prem Kumar’s 96, opposite Vijay Sethupathi, who played her high-school love interest Ram.

Trisha took it to Instagram to post a photo holding her golden trophy from Vikatan Awards.

Best Child Artiste – Ditya Bhande for Lakshmi

Best Character Artiste (Male) – Ameer for Vada Chennai

Best Character Artiste (Female) – Easwari Rao for Vada Chennai

Best Debut Director –  Lenin Bharathi for Merku Thodarchi Malai
