FRIENDS – 2001
We can all agree that Vadivelu’s role as ‘Contractor Nesamani’ has been his best one yet. His role in the film has always been an all time fan favourite. Nesamani’s most epic character phrase is “Melle melle…yean na sevurukku valikkum”. Bet you remember this one.
ENGGAL ANNA – 2004
Another heart stealing performance by Vaigai Puyal in Enggal Anna was during an argument between Pandiarajan, M.S Baskar and Vadivelu on the road. The last part of the scene which got us all cracking was when Vadivelu’s back caught fire and all of them were seen running towards a firecracker shop thereafter. You can only imagine what happens next….
CHANDRAMUKHI – 2005
‘Chandramukhi’ is perhaps one of our generation’ most talked about Tamil horror movie. It is famous for ‘Vettaiyan Pure Aranmanai’ and Vadivelu’s famous phrase ‘Maappu…vechitaanda aappu’. The one particular scene which showed his expression of being scared of wild animals statues still do make people laugh. EMDAN MAGAN – 2006
Emdan Magan – is a story which depicts a relationship between a strict father and a son. Vadivelu’s role and fun comedic roles seen alongside Saranya is epic and priceless especially at the temple scene where Vadivelu is seen saying ‘nalle velai mayanggirucchi’ is mind-blowing.
POKKIRI – 2007
How many of you still remember ‘Body soda’s’ character with his epic phrase ‘Vade poche’? Body Soda is probably one of the funniest characters Vadivelu has ever played.
