As a bookworm, walking and tracking down interesting bookstores is definitely a routine in your free time or on weekends. Not only is it happy and fun to see a place filled with stacks of books, but also the atmosphere of a successful bookstore makes us seem to be in our own world.

There are many of such very interesting and charming bookstores in Malaysia. But this time, we at Varnam Malaysia have compiled interesting bookstores for one to visit and snap that Instragrammable shots.

Sounds interesting isn’t?

BookXcess at RexKL

The RexKL BookXcess store is one of Kuala Lumpur’s most Instagrammable locations. RexKL BookXcess is a standalone structure that was formerly the Rex Cinema and is situated on Jalan Sultan directly across from KFC.

This is where you can obtain your shots if you’ve seen the lovely Instagram pictures of the Kuala Lumpur bookstore. A sense of adventure can be experienced when looking for your next read due to the numerous stairs that connect the seemingly endless shelves. Bookstores now have a new level of excitement that we never realised we needed but now adore because the space is also shared with art displays and live concerts.

Don’t forget that this is not just a spot to shoot photogenic pictures ; they also sell books there.

Buku By PJ Preloved House

A bookworm may be tempted to add a book to their shelf despite the fact that it may be expensive—especially if it has a hard cover or is a special edition. Pre-owned books are an excellent substitute for book collectors on a budget.

There is no need for the book you have in mind to be ripped, full of tears, and with a worn-out cover. At Buku by PJ Preloved House, the concept is straightforward: to repurpose used books at a reasonable price and create a welcoming environment for the reading community to connect.
