We are here with another list of intriguing book stores you should visit this weekend for Instagram-worthy photos and if you are an avid reader then this article is for you.

If you haven’t read our [prior article], don’t miss it!

The author of the previous article listed a few chosen quaint bookshops to visit for Instagram-worthy photos.

NOW…. Take a look at the list of another charming bookstore in KL and Selangor area;

CITE BOOK GARDEN, SRI PETALING

Due to its wide variety of books from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China, Cite Book Garden is well-liked by Mandarin readers. There are several quiet areas around the store for solitary reading, and a wall of potted greens makes a popular “for the gramme” backdrop.

Additionally, there is a designated event area on the second floor that is frequently utilised to host book launches, readings, health events, and other events.

Address : 41, Jalan Radin Anum, Sri Petaling, 57000 Kuala Lumpur.

Opening hours : Opens daily (11am-7pm)

MONALISA BOOKSTORE, BUKIT JALIL

Monalisa Bookstore, is spread out across three levels and boasts award-winning interior design, is a true haven for the curious mind. With its in-store dessert café where you can enjoy a read with a side of coffee and cakes, the relatively new bookstore will appeal to bibliophiles and cafe hoppers alike.

It has a warm, neutral color scheme and is decked out with modern furniture and fixtures. The third floor’s children’s section, which features a tower filled with books nicknamed the “Tree of Life,” would delight even young children.

Address : MY Kuala Lumpur Bukit Jalil F-8-1 PUSAT PERDAGANGAN Jalan Persiaran Jalil, 1, 57000.

Opening hours : Opens daily except Monday (10.30am-8.30pm)

LIT BOOKS, PETALING JAYA

This independent neighborhood bookstore, which is situated on Tropicana Avenue, focuses on books by English authors. That is implied by the word “Lit” in its name, which also parodies millennial slang for “amazing thing.”

The shelves here are carefully picked by a husband and wife pair of former journalists and bibliophiles, and include fiction, non-fiction, and modern literature. The Scandinavian-inspired furnishings’ minimalist design encourages peaceful reading time, perhaps with a cup of coffee from the Lit Bar.

Address : P-1-11 Tropicana Avenue, 12, Persiaran Tropicana, 47410 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Opening hours : Opens daily except Sunday and Monday (1pm-7pm)

BOOK XCESS SUNSURIA FORUM, SHAH ALAM

The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, which is hosted by Book Xcess, is undoubtedly the event for which the company is best known. But its bookshops are also outstanding, especially the one at Setia Alam’s Sunsuria Forum.

With its book tunnel concept at the entryway and spiral tower on the ground floor, this 2019 establishment immediately grabs notice. It has a cosy café, a children’s book maze, and a variety of contemporary reading nooks inside in addition to housing close to 500,000 books.

Address : SB-1, Sunsuria Forum, No.1, Jalan Setia Dagang AL U13/AL, Seksyen U13, Setia Alam, 40170 Shah Alam, Selangor

Opening hours : Opens daily (10am – 10pm)
