For decades, movie stars have used their star power and influence to their own benefits in the world of politics. With big names such as Superstar Rajinikanth enticing fans to build a cadre of party workers under the Rajini Makkal Mandram and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s aspirations of starting a new political party to take down the current ruling party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), it is only a matter of time before other actors go down the same route.

Thala Ajith, however, does not seem to have an ounce of political aspiration within himself. In a breaking statement released in Tamil today, Ajith has clearly stated that he has no interest in politics and he would like to remain confidential about his party of choice.

This statement was sparked by a recent incident that showed a group of people joining the current ruling BJP party under the pretence of being Thala Ajith’s fans. Tamil Nadu BJP President, Dr. Tamilisai Soundarajan, took advantage of this situation to state that she is confident that Ajith and his hardcore fans will show full support to her political party, BJP in Tamil Nadu.

Besides the stern remark on politics, Ajith also condemned any act of trolling his rival heroes on social media and using his photos to promote any political parties.

The statement was signed by Ajith and released to press bodies throughout Tamil Nadu. He ended his statement by saying that students should concentrate on studies, employees they should do their jobs well, to always be peaceful and treat others with respect.

He concluded by quoting, ‘Live and let live’.
