We have some exciting news for all Carnatic enthusiasts!

Indian Classical Artistes Network (iCan) is helming Mummurthi Vizha, a classical tribute for the Trinity of Carnatic Music chaperoning numerous skilled performers. This divine classical recital will be held on 24th July 2022 (Sunday) at Kalamandapam, Brickfields.

Approximately 69 performing artists from 6 art institutions are set to make this artistic vizha bewitching accompanied by numerous skilled musicians offering their performances to the trinity of Saint Thyagaraja, Muthuswami Dheekshethar, and Syama Sastri.

Various aesthetic classical performances will take place from 2pm to 7pm from multiple schools featuring numerous performing artists all around Malaysia.

iCan warmly welcomes everyone to join and watch their divine classical tribute. Better yet, admission is FREE!

iCan’s vision is to unify and empower Indian classical arts practitioners in Malaysia as well as being the pioneer who provides a platform for artists to connect, learn and grow.

This Mummurthi Vizha is the 2nd programme organised by iCan in Malaysia, the first being a record-breaking feat.

Their first event which took place on the 29th of January 2022 at Sri Venkateswara Devasthanamu was a record breaker as they earned an honourable spot in the Malaysia Book of Records for the Most Numbers of Performers Performing the Pancharatna Krithis (5 Gems Songs) of Saint Tyagaraja with a total of 110 performers in collaboration with the Telugu Association of Malaysia.

iCan is open for classical arts practitioners to join as members and if you would like to collaborate with iCan for future projects, feel free to contact them anytime.

Be prepared to get immersed in a sea of music and dance.
