Paramjit Singh Appointed As Chief Investment Officer For MAVCAP

Malaysia Venture Capital Management Berhad (MAVCAP) has hired Paramjit Singh Gill as its Chief Investment Officer (CIO) with effect from August 1.

Over the span of more than 13 years, Paramjit has accumulated substantial experience in regional corporate investment banking, structured financing, and private equity.

MAVCAP’s Chairman, Tunku Alizakri Alias, stated that as the largest venture capital (VC) firm in Malaysia, it is their mandate by the government to consistently progress the tech industry by bringing on board highly qualified individuals from both regionally and internationally platforms.

According to MAVCAP, Paramjit started his career at Maybank Investment Bank Berhad and subsequently joined OCBC Bank Berhad as director and country head of Malaysia for Mezzanine Capital Unit.

Throughout Paramjit’s employment with the bank, he coordinated numerous regional corporate transactions spanning a range of industries and sectors. – MAVCAP

Noor Amy Ismail, who had 24 years of corporate and Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs) expertise across a variety of industries in Malaysia and abroad, was also appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for MACVAP alongside him.
