Have you ever had a dream of becoming a TV or radio host? Fancy seeing yourself interviewing personalities?
Don’t just dream on...DREAM instead.
If yes, then clasp the chance to become the next TV or radio personality by participating in the Ultimate Star Search 2022 on Astro.
Aspiring Malaysian talents aged 18 to 35 years old are invited to participate for a chance to begin a career as a TV or radio host. Walk-in auditions will be held at three locations including Johor Bahru, Penang and Kuala Lumpur as below:
- 8 September: Agenda Suria Shopping Carnival, Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey, Johor Bahru
- 29 September: Agenda Suria Shopping Carnival, Dewan Sri Mariamman, Butterworth, Penang
- 15 October: Agenda Suria Shopping Carnival, Open Carpark B, National Sports Complex, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur
Prem Anand, Vice President, Indian Customer Business, Astro, said, “As we continue to working with diverse pools of local talents, we remain steadfast in our commitment to create a platform for various local talents to showcase their skills and have the opportunity to shine. We hope that the Ultimate Star Search 2022 on Astro will inspire and empower more aspiring local hosts and announcers to chase their dreams in the local entertainment industry.”
During the audition, participants can also showcase their talents as a host or announcer, as well as an option to perform a dance or a song, from the selection available on Astro Ulagam. After the initial audition on the dates above, shortlisted contestants will be required to return the following day. Subsequently, three finalists from each location will be invited to participate in the grand finale on 21 October at Agenda Suria Shopping Carnival, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
Our passions are frequently reflected in our dreams, and obstacles we fear also pop up. But that doesn’t mean you can’t climb your way to the top!

Ultimate Star Search 2022 is presented by U Mobile and in collaboration with ASC Agenda Suria Communication. More information will be available on Astro Ulagam from end-August.
