Ain’t sure whether we have come across any songs sung by the ever-talented director Venkat Prabhu but his latest offering for a Singapore drama series, Ming Lee C/o Manickam has etched on our minds and hearts.

Venkat Prabhu; The ace filmmaker turns into a playback singer by crooning for a soulful song bearing the title Aaraariro, which depicts the bond of a mother and son. Composed by Kala Charan, the full enchanting lyrics were penned by Yuwaji, and this could be one of the best soul-stirring tunes due to its deep descriptive lyrics. If you guys are staying away from your ‘Amma’, guess it might be a lil heartbreaking.

There’s a saying that, nothing can be compared to a mother’s love, not money or materialistic things.

Watch and listen to the full music video here:

Directed by JK Saravana, ‘Ming Lee C/o Manickam’ revolves around a Chinese boy who is being fostered into an Indian family. Ming Lee (foster child) becomes an unexpected but essential part of the Manickam family. Having been neglected form a young age, Ming Lee was brought up by his troubled parents, till the home had found the perfect foster family for him – the Manickams.

An amusing story of how a young boy is trying to fit in a peculiar family with different people with the added challenge of cultural and language differences. Despite being accepted warmly by Manickam and his wife, Ming Lee struggles to get along with his two new siblings and grandmother. When he finally manages to find himself a comfortable place and space in the family, though, his past returns to haunt him and separate him from his newfound family. Will the Manickams fight for the boy? Will he be able to ever find a family to stay in? But most importantly…will Ming Lee ever learn to communicate with his hilariously quirky Indian foster family?
