New Release: Movies To Watch In Theatres For This Long Weekend

Wondering how to unwind over the long weekend before the start of the week? Not to worry, we’ve got you covered with list of movie that has been released and gracing the big screen now.

Check this out:

Pattathu Arasan 

Penned and directed by A. Sarkunam, Pattathu Arasan is a sports action drama produced by Allirajah Subaskaran of Lyca Productions. Atharvaa, Rajkiran, Ashika Ranganath and Raadhika Sarathkumar will be playing the lead role in this film.

Synopsis: Set against the backdrop of green-caped betel farms near Thiruvaiyaru, this movie revolves Poththaari is a former kabaddi player, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players. He has two wives. The family lives together happily. Even though one has many heirs with one of his wives and just one with the other, the properties should be split equally as per the law.

Kaari

Kaari is a sports action drama film written and directed by Hemanth, starred by M. Sasikumar, Parvathy Arun, J. D. Chakravarthy and Balaji Sakthivel, with Aadukalam Naren, Ammu Abhirami, Redin Kingsley and Nagineedu in supporting roles.

Synopsis: Kaari revolves around a champion race jockey, a multi millionaire, and a simple village girl. These three characters and the rustic villagers of Kariyoor are so apart and distant that they don’t know each other until one day their lives change when fate brings them on a direct collision course. The ensuing screenplay is a race of action, stunts, and events that roller coaster though high emotion, pain, love, betrayal and sacrifice.

Drishyam 2

Drishyam 2 is crime thriller film based on the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name, also serving as a sequel to the 2015 film Drishyam, which in turn was adapted from the eponymous 2013 Malayalam film. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran and Ishita Dutta. It also features Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and Kamlesh Sawant in supporting roles.

Synopsis: On the night of 3 October 2014, a man named David Braganza is on the run from the authorities for murder. Hiding behind an unfinished police station, he sees Vijay emerging from it. Afterwards, he attempts to apologize to his wife, but ends up being arrested by the police.

Will Vijay Salgaonkar be able to protect his family this time?

Gajen

The film is helmed by our very talented Malaysian directos, S. Mathan and this movies stars by Denes Kumar, Jasmin Michael, Abhirami Venkatachalam in pivotal role along with Irfan Zaini, Lingkesvaran Maniam, Mano Atletch, Naveiin Manohar, David Anthony and K Prakash TCK. 

Synopsis: This drama-romance flick revolves around Gautham, a junior doctor who is carefree and leads a life without ambition. One day, he gets entangled in a medical conspiracy that changes his course of life. The plot thickens as the two women in his life, Yazhini and Aashika fall victim in his fight for justice against nemesis Vikram Samrat, head of a top pharmaceutical company.

Love Today

The most celebrated movie by ever netizens is still playing in the big screen. An incredible film is one that can be watched again and again; Love Today fits this description.

Synopsis: Love Today centres around a young couple, Pradeep and Nikitha (Ivana). The story gets heated up when Nikitha’s strict-conventional father, Sathyaraj made makes the couple exchange their phones for a day, promising that he’d get them married if all goes well. What follows next is a hilarious and emotional scene.
