Worth the wait?

The highly anticipated Malaysian Tamil film, Adai Mazhai Kaalam has graced the big screen officially yesterday – 26th  January 2023. Helmed and written by the ace filmmaker, Karthik Shaamalan, this film has already set a considerable benchmark even before its release and has been receiving tonnes of positive feedback from the audience.

Adai Mazhai Kaalam is a beautiful fantasy life story that revolves around a tale of a young man and the journey of love in his life to understand the meaning of eternal love and its purp. It was a lovey-dovey emotional ride film.

Karthick Shamalan has once again crafted a good movie. In this film, he beautifully blended both comical and emotional sequences.

The lead actor, Loga Varman Strideran as Suriyan have sealed the entire audience’s attention with his remarkably impressive performance. The highlight of his acting in this film was definitely the emotional sequences. It is challenging to elicit strong emotions but Loga nailed it. Thia Lakshana playing the role of Chandra kept a substantial screen presence throughout this film as well.

Apart from the lead, other supporting actors like Jay Kishen, Vicky Rao, Sasitharan Rajoo, and Emcee Ruvela have channelled their brilliant performances enhancing the quality of this film. Special mention to Jay Kishen a.k.a. Batman, the comical-humorous elements that he presented in this film is impressive.

Fun Fact: The legendary Padmashree Hariharan and Indian playback popstar singer, Benny Dayal have rendered their mellifluous voice to our local Tamil Malaysian movie. Click HERE to read.

Shameshan creates MAGIC again.

His musical element in AMK is undeniably one of the reasons that has been a major refining factor for this film, elevating gracefully the emotions that the director and the actors want to convey. The soulful-heart melting background score makes the audience thoroughly delve into the feel and get connected. He hit the score well for the second half. (Big kudos to you)

Trust me, even after the movie ends, Padmashree Hariharan‘s song -(Ittana Tham) will be lingering in your mind for a while.

Next, most of us have wondered how Orey Lovvu song is going to be portrayed as this is a mashup song that compiles Tamil hit verses. Oh well, this duo, Karthick  Shaamalan and Shameshan perfectly pictured this song.

To sum up; Adai Mazhai Kaalam is a heartwarming film that will leave you with a profound thought towards the end.

Alert: Prepare tissues ahead before heading into the cinema hall.
