Malaysians are familiar with the recent news on no longer needing to bring their physical road tax and driver’s license along anymore BUT there are some unfamiliar with the digital access to it.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke recently announced that private vehicle owners will no longer be required to display a physical road tax sticker on their vehicles.
Loke also added that it is not compulsory for road users to download the MyJPJ mobile app.Those who did not download the MyJPJ app or failed to show digital road tax to the authorities will not be fined.
However, Malaysians are now encouraged to register and use the MyJPJ app to access their digital road tax and driving licenses.
How to access your digital road tax and driver’s license on the MyJPJ app?
Download the MyJPJ app on the App Store or Google Play
Register for a new account by clicking on ‘Daftar Akaun Baharu’
Fill up your personal details
Key in the answers to your security questions
Set your password
Log in to your new account with your IC number and password
Go to ‘Profil’
Click on ‘Lesen Memandu’ to see your digital driving license
For a digital copy of your road tax, click on ‘Lesen Kenderaan Motor’
