Get to know more about the world’s youngest yoga teacher.

A seven-year-old girl named Praanvi Gupta has set a new Guinness World Record by becoming the Youngest Certified Yoga Instructor in the world. Praanvi, hailing from India and living in Dubai, was approved and certified by the Yoga Alliance after completing a 200-hour training course.

According to The Indian Express, at the age of 7 years and 165 days, she has broken the previous record held by Reyansh Surani, who was 9 years and 220 days old when he became the youngest certified yoga instructor in July 2021.

Praanvi’s journey with yoga began when she was just 3 and a half years old, observing her mother’s practice at home. After imitating her mother’s poses for a few months, she gradually began performing the ancient practice independently.

She later enrolled in yoga classes during her school breaks at 7, where she discovered her passion for yoga and her desire to spread its love to as many people as possible. Encouraged by her yoga instructor, Praanvi attended a training program for yoga teachers.

Her teacher, Seema Kamath, who is a medical director and Ayurveda practitioner, praised Praanvi for being a very enthusiastic student with a calm mind and a willingness to learn. Praanvi, who has her own YouTube channel and has also won gold medals in International Olympiads, advises everyone to dream big and believe in themselves.
