Malaysians are known for their multiculturalism. In addition, interracial marriage is fairly common in our country. Having said that, a son uploaded a short TikTok video sharing a beautiful journey of his parents wedding anniversary, which has gone viral and is being celebrated by all netizens.
Recently, a video posted by a TikTok user @cj_janesh garners tremendous attention from netizens for its heartwarming content featuring the interracial couple’s 27th wedding anniversary. Here’s what happens:-
On 23rd March 1996, a love-struck lad, Nagarajan Muniady, boldly took the decision to fly all the way to the Philippines to marry the love of his life, Jannete P. Monte.
In the 1 minute, 29 seconds video, the son asked about how was the experience of the journey, the father answered “It was a good experience. Everyone was keep looking at me only. Surprisingly, weirdly.”
Back then, Nagarajan wondered why they were looking at him with an odd look. “It was only then that I realised it was all because of my skin colour.” However, Jannete’s love is beyond the skin color.
Language is not a barrier when it comes to LOVE.
The father of three beautiful children also shares about the language barrier and a funny incident that happened involving a pastor during his wedding at the church.
“It has been 27 years since you got married, ARE YOU HAPPY?”
“Dei, ennada kelvi kekere…”, the reaction of both parents upon asking the question got everyone melted and swarmed by the love of both lovebirds.
