On May 25, the W Hotel hosted the Budimass Charitable Foundation’s annual charity gala dinner. After 25 years, it was a spectacular success, raising more than RM400,000 to provide the Orang Asli community and needy children with a future filled with love and hope.
Their goal this year is to advance two more upcoming projects in addition to the Budimas Home Charity Fund, the Budimas Food Charity Fund, and the Budimas Education Charity Fund. Important corporate figures and philanthropists came together at the occasion to support this worthwhile organisation and have a great evening of fine dining, live entertainment, and fundraising.
The charity was overjoyed to celebrate this occasion and pay tribute to everyone who has helped further their goal over the years.
The gala dinner started with a lively reception and ended with a sumptuous sit-down meal. Heard of You kept the audience interested all night long. The Silat Flashmob and Dikir Barat performances by the Orang Asli Community Performance and Orion Home Children were the event’s high points. Each performer told a calmed but profound and epic tale.
Another highlight of the evening was the silent auction, which offered a variety of goods up for sale, including artworks, rare collectibles, and exclusive getaways. All proceeds from the auction and event will be applied to their cause.
We can confidently state that we have made a significant impact when we look back on the past 25 years. We have been able to help numerous people and communities all around this country by giving them the aid and assistance that they so much need. Nevertheless, there is still a tonne of work to be done, according to Anne Rajasaikaran, Principal Officer of The Budimas Charitable Foundation. In its attempt to improve the lives of more than 5,000 poor children from more than 100 homes, the Budimas Charitable Foundation has achieved remarkable outcomes.
To ease the financial burdens they have in providing their basic necessities, these houses get invaluable help. The foundation runs its very own house, the Pusat Jagaan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Budimas Orion (Budimas Orion home), in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan, as part of its dedication to establishing a caring atmosphere.
The Budimas Charitable Foundation’s aim for 2023, is to reach out to as many underprivileged children and the Orang Asli community as they can. Every child deserves equal opportunities in life, and we need to do as much as we can to ensure these children’s future is filled with love and hope. This year, Budimas will be building 2 more libraries in Orang Asli settlements in Melaka and reaching out to an additional 6,000 underprivileged children to provide them with nutritious breakfast in public schools across Peninsular Malaysia.
Another target of Budimas is also to provide financial assistance and guidance to charitable homes in our country. “As we progress through 2023, our objective is to increase financial support for an extra 50 homes and orphanages, as well as secure permission to establish seven new homes within the next decade.”, said YM Tunku Yaakob Kyra, Chairman of The Budimas Charitable Foundation.
Furthermore, The Budimas Charitable Foundation’s Performing Arts Special Campaign and Budimas Children Medical Care Fund Foundation Programme are commendable upcoming initiatives. The Budimas Charitable Foundation’s Performing Arts Special Campaign aims to help underprivileged children thrive by providing grants and financial assistance for underprivileged children who fare in performing arts. This includes child well-being, and preserving traditional cultures. Budimas Children Medical Care Fund Foundation Programme’s objective of providing financial support to underprivileged children in Malaysia who are receiving treatment for rare diseases and heart problems is a noble cause.
We know that better healthcare can make a difference in the lives of these children and their families. We hope that more people will hear about this campaign and contribute towards achieving its goal of giving these children a future of love and hope, said Anne Rajasaikaran, Principal Officer, The Budimas Charitable Foundation.
Indeed, every individual has the power to make a difference and break the chain of poverty.
The Budimas Charitable Foundation’s initiatives are a testament to the power of collective action towards creating a better future for children in need. By supporting the Foundation’s initiatives, we can contribute towards giving these children hope and a bright future. Let’s work together to empower this generation and create a brighter tomorrow for all.
