Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Hassan is all set to work on his 233rd film with Valimai-Thunivu’s famed director, H. Vinoth. It has been rumoured that the talented actor will be playing a farmer in this upcoming film. Recently, both Kamal and H. Vinoth were seen at a meeting with the members of the Nel Jayaraman Traditional Rice Conservation Centre.
Kamal Hassan has always been an individual who has shown significant interest in socio-political and economic issues. So it is not surprising that his forthcoming film with H. Vinoth is a film that also centres itself on being a socially conscious film, most likely centered around the agrarian crisis that Tamil Nadu has been enduring since the dawn of imperialism. The film is yet to announce a title, so for now it is being called KH233 as it is Kamal Hassan’s 233rd film project. The film will be produced by Kamal’s very own Raaj Kamal Films International, a production and distribution company. This company has also produced outstanding films like Virumaandi, Hey Ram, Theva Magan and Sathya.
Kamal is currently shooting for Indian 2, director Shankar’s second installment of his 1996 hit film, Indian. The team recently completed a shoot in Chennai and will be heading to Los Angeles after a few weeks. The film will witness Kamal reprising his role as Senapathy, the staunch Indian nationalist who will no doubt continue his ideology of wiping out corruption and anti-nationalism around him. The film also features Kajal Aggarwal, Bobby Simha, Siddhart, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Guru Somasundaram, and Samuthirakani.
