Nisha Alagasan is a national karate champion and founder of KaraCardio. She has spent the most of her childhood and teen years learning kicks and sparing with her peers.
Nisha developed her karate skills under national coaches P.Arivalagan & S.Komathi and was drafted to the national elite squad in 2009. Both are also students of former national coach P. Arivalagan. Nisha is a 9 times national Karate champion back-to-back and won Malaysia a several medals in the SEA Games and and ASEAN Uni Games. In 2012, she was the ONLY Malaysian to participate in The World Championships in Paris, France and made up to the semifinal. She finished by placing at No 5 at The World Karate Championships.
Knowing that she could contribute to improving the wellness of her community, Nisha founded a fitness studio that made workouts fun and communal. Through KaraCardio, she empowers people to attain their fitness goals and live a healthier lifestyle. Varnam MY is proud to name the badass Nisha Alagasan as a Woman of Impact 2019.
