Jiiva hasn’t been seen on screens in a while, but all of that is about to change. The actor’s first film of 2019, Kee, will hit screens on the 12th of April. The film, however, reeks of the same old Tamil padam formula.

Kee is a psychological thriller which a ‘science fiction’ story trope. Directed by Kalees, the film also stars Nikki Galrani, Anaika Soti, RJ Balaji, Suhasini Maniratnam, Manobala and Govind Padmasoorya. Vishal Chandrasekar, the musician who brought us the soundtracks of Jil Jung Juck and Rangoon will be composing the music for Kee.

Based on the trailer, Kee appears to follow the same old story of kaadhal nonsense in the first half followed by a serious issue involving computers or technology in the second half, where Jiiva eventually saves the day.

Jiiva’s last two films have been flops, we wonder if Kee will be the comeback of his that everyone is waiting for? Let’s not hold our breath.
