The much-awaited film of the year, Jawan, is the first ever Bollywood debut of the supertalented director Atlee, who has previously directed blockbuster hit films like Theri, Mersal, and Bigil. Atlee is known to be a promising filmmaker who has perfected the craft of commercial cinema, much of which can be attributed to his time working as an assistant director to Shankar in the films Enthiran and Nandan.
Jawan is advertised as a Pan-Indian film, with big stars from both the south and north being cast in the film. A huge South Indian star that will be starring with SRK in this film is the highly acclaimed Vijay Sethupathi; the first look poster of Vijay had just recently been shared by SRK on his Instagram.
The phenomenal artist, Vijay Sethupathi, can be seen adoring cool sunglasses and staring coldly and calculatedly away from the onlooker. The words The Dealar…Of Death can be seen on the poster, which indicates that Vijay could be playing a sinister and bloodthirsty antagonist for this film. Vijay Sethupathi has previously worked on many great projects like Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, Pizza, Soodhu Kavvum, and Vikram Vedha.
He is an immensely respected actor who has established a very unique style and texture to his artistry that has won him several accolades. His versatility and depth of performance are what caught SRK’s attention and made the esteemed King Khan insist Atlee have Vijay on board the project.
This Pan-Indian action film also stars Nayanthara in the lead female role opposite Shah Rukh Khan. This will be the Lady Superstar’s debut in Bollywood, and fans across India are eager to witness her play this fantastic role. Nayanthara had previously worked with Atlee on the film Raja Rani, which won the talented actress the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for Best Actress.
Nayanthara is also another widely adored and acclaimed actress who has made an incredible name for herself in South Indian cinema. She is praised for aiding in bringing about more woman-led films in Kollywood like Kolamaavu Kokila, Imaikkaa Nodigal, Netrikann, and many more.
The film’s music is scored by none other than Anirudh, who is also the music composer for highly anticipated films like Leo and Jailer, which are coming out this year as well. The film’s cast also consists of big names like Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra.
