World-renowned business professionals from 30 nations, including Malaysia, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, and many other nations, attended the 11th Global Summit of Tamil Entrepreneurs and Professionals. This conference was held with the ambitious aim of creating a productive platform for Tamil business professionals to network, learn new business models, trade services, explore investment prospects, and much more.
The three-day summit, which took place from July 28-30, was created through the collaborative effort of Development of Human Resources for Rural Areas (DHRRA) Malaysia and The Rise Malaysia.
The Rise is an organisation created in 2018 with the aim of becoming an international networking platform for Tamils across professions to collectively exchange ideas for the development of the Tamil people and the global community. In accordance with that ambition, this conference witnessed the signing of over 400 trade agreements between businesses.
The event was also attended by Prof. Rev. Dr. Jegath Gaspar Raj, the Founder of Rise Global, who is a multifaceted individual. Dr. Jegath Gaspar Raj is based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is a Catholic priest, a humanitarian, and, at times, an advocate for human rights. In retaliation to the rise of global political instability, Dr. Jegath has shown his outmost solidarity with many marginalised communities in the Indian Union and throughout the world.
Tamils should assert themselves on economic platforms that will enhance their confidence and self-development. In this conference alone, over 400 agreements have been established between Tamil business professionals. This conference also allows Tamils to branch out and discover new forms of industry. This incredible space also allows for Tamils to gain the self-empowerment to speak in their own language to conduct themselves in a professional business space.

Prof. Rev. Dr. Jegath Gaspar Raj also stated that the organisation is planning to hold conferences in Davos, Switzerland, and Sri Lanka. He held firmly to his organization’s dedication to collaborating and developing Tamil professionals on an international scale.
This conference has two main objectives. The first is to transform the Tamil community from a people who seek employment to a people who create employment. The second is understanding how to trade in Malaysia, which is a gateway to the Asia Pacific.
– Saravanan Sinnappan, Leader of The Rise Malaysia
Many seasoned professionals and young entrepreneurs who participated in the conference expressed that they have gained many skills, information, and partnerships through this platform. Some business professionals have established networks with Tamil businesses that operate in foreign nations, thus creating new market spaces for their goods and services. Others state that they have gained information through networking and forming business relations with other professionals at this conference. This is a great platform that is led by humanist ethics of wanting to contribute to humanity as a whole while also aiming to protect and enrich the Tamil identity, culture, and principles.
