Thalapathy Vijay is reportedly vacationing in Europe after finishing up all of his scenes for the Lokesh Kanagaraj directed film “Leo”. On October 19th, the movie, which has Anirudh’s soundtrack and stars Trisha and Sanjay Dutt among others, will be released on a global scale.
In the meanwhile, Venkat Prabhu’s forthcoming movie Thalapathy 68, starring Vijay, is still undergoing intense preproduction work. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the soundtrack for the film, while AGS Productions is providing the funding. A few months ago, there were rumours that VP was eager to hire Jyothika as the lead actress. Recent rumours claim that the cast did approach the seasoned actress and ask for dates in October and November.
If the transaction goes through, Vijay and Jyothika, who costarred in the blockbuster flicks “Kushi” and “Thirumalai,” would make their on-screen comeback after 20 years . It is important to note that Atlee first requested Jyothika to play the role of Vijay’s love interest in “Mersal,” but she was ultimately replaced by Nithya Menen.
