Perak native Saroop Roshi has been graciously bestowed the honour of being crowned Miss World Malaysia 2023. The prestigious and renowned ceremony took place at the Sabah International Convention Centre, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, and was courteously attended by both Miss World 2022 Karolina Bielawska and Miss World Malaysia 2022 Wenanita Anggang. Saroop Roshi had won the competitive title against Natalie Ang from Penang and Shu Wen Chai from Sabah. The 25-year-old Saroop received the title with the cash prize of M15,000, along with an array of sponsored products and services, as well as luxurious jewellery worth RM25,000.
The beauty queen is not only a gorgeous young woman but also a final year psychology student, a talented model, and a spirited soul who is incredibly passionate about travelling and immersing herself in the many cultures of the world. Saroop’s intellect, beauty, and well-rounded character are what made her seem like an exemplary and exquisitely sophisticated young woman before the panel of judges.
Saroop Roshi has a long history with pageantry. As a well-trained pageant queen, Saroop has won herself the title of first runner-up in Miss Grand Malaysia, and she was also graced with the honourable title of Miss Global Malaysia 2019. Saroop exposes herself to the world of pageantry to sharpen her skills and motivate herself through the confidence that beauty and empathetic intellect can bring an ambitious woman such as her. Saroop also brilliantly uses the platforms that pageants present her to further her advocacy and strengthen her determination to succeed.

Saroop, with great knowledge and empathy, conducts her organisation to prevent suicide among vulnerable groups of people. She does this by advocating for structural changes as well as instilling in people the proper mental health techniques that will help preserve and regulate their emotions and thoughts.
Saroop Roshi will be representing Malaysia in the internationally distinguished Miss World pageant in 2024. The nation of Malaysia will be represented on the world stage by this ambitious and exemplary young woman who understands to her core the responsibility she bears now. Saroop represents the true foundation of her country; she carries with her the genuine, earnest compassion and endless will to achieve her monumental dreams.
