Dhieran Mogan and MC Raaj have come together to create Lorry Kaigels, a first-of-its-kind Tamil song that centres on the lives of lorry drivers in Malaysia. As an ode to the dedicated and arduous labour of not just Tamil truck drivers but all truck drivers across Malaysia, the duo has decided to release this wonderful song on October 4, 2023, on National Truckers Appreciation Day. The song is produced by iStudio, while the music video is sponsored by SLC Logistic.
The song was shot in locations like the Kesas and Latar Highways, while a large portion of the cinematography was captured in the spacious yard of SLC Logistics & Distribution Sdn. Bhd. The apt location reflects to the onlookers the realities of truck drivers in Malaysia, and their attempt at raising awareness for this group of people aids in representing these workers in a more appreciative light. The music video is currently in post-production. The team behind the project has also organised a Lorry Kaigels Contest, which is open for everyone to enter. The contest ends on September 30, 2023, more details of the contest can be obtained through this video.
