9SKIN is an upcoming holistic skincare brand that caters not only to rejuvinating the skin to its full potential but also to uplifting the inner soulful beauty of women. Under the creative collaboration of famed Lady Superstar Nayanthara, award-winning director Vignesh Shivan, and successful businesswoman Daisy Morgan, 9SKIN’s brand and philosophy were created. Vignesh Shivan, who had been the initial brain behind the project to launch a skincare line, had been inspired by his wife, Nayanthara, whose knowledge of skincare enlightened him. Vignesh wanted to create products that would simplify and perfect the ritual of skincare for women. It was through that idea and ideology that Daisy Morgan was contacted in 2015 to help materialise this dream.
Singaporean businesswoman, Daisy Morgan, who has been working in the skincare industry since 2001, had caught the eye of the couple; her deep and intimate knowledge about the skincare industry, along with her momentous success in the field, had allured the couple into forming both a personal and professional partnership with the businesswoman. The trio had come together to create a brand that would not fall into mundane commercialism but stand out for its earnest gesture of elevating natural beauty.
9SKIN: A Fusion of Modern Skincare and Traditional Ayurveda

Having been in the beauty and skincare industry for over twenty years, Daisy Morgan states that the hurdles and challenges that come with any business were strategically overcome by the strength and unity of their effective and supportive team. Alongside that, the belief and determination of everyone involved in this momentous project gave them the persistence to continue on. The ambitious woman expresses that the skincare industry comes with its own complications, such as difficulty sourcing ethical ingredients and establishing an international distribution network. Through detailed and calculated coordination and establishing relationships with conscious suppliers, these problems were resolved. As a businesswoman, Daisy expressed earnestly that while being a woman in the male-dominated world of the business industry is difficult, she believes that one should not hinder their growth because of their gender but instead strive within the industry to reach their ultimate potential.

What began as a friendship based on mutual self-respect and adoration for one another flourished into a groundbreaking business partnership for Daisy and the power couple, Vignesh and Nayanthara. Over the six-year period of their friendship, the three creatives began to see how their aspirations were very much aligned, and the trio began meticulously crafting and engineering the blueprint for 9SKIN. Through arduous labour and care, they began testing out formulas for a perfect skincare line. Every project deserves and calls for its own time period of production and management, and a critical and crucial product like skincare demands even more attention to detail, which is precisely why the team devoted six long years to materialising this momentous project.
