The Grand Winners of Bintang Minnal 2023

Bintang Minnal 2023 is a singing competition organised to identify some of the greatest young talent among the Tamil youths of today. The competition held its grand finale on September 23 at Studio M1, Angkasapuri Kota Media. A total of six astoundingly talented young people were chosen to compete in this prestigious event, and among them, the winners were selected by an honourable set of judges such as Santesh, Samesan Manimaaran, and Tharani Kumar. The event was also graced by RTM’s chief director of broadcasting, Dato Suhaimi Sulaiman, and the Radio Programme Division Director of RTM, Saifuzzaman Yusop.

Nimalaan Gangkathran was garnered the title of champion, and RM10,000 The massively gifted 22-year-old from Melaka had no formal lessons in sangeetham, but his ardent passion for music had made him skilled at playing the keyboard with his twin brother, Nittyan Gangkathran.

Raajasree Gobi had been awarded the title of First Runner-Up and won RM7,000. She is a 22-year-old student of the psychology industry who hails from Ampang, Selangor. The young budding talent has expressed her gratitude towards her family, their love, and the support of her friends throughout the competition.

Swetha Nair Krishnakumar was awarded third place along with RM5000. She is 21 years old and lives in Subang Jaya, Selangor. She has been the title winner for Namma Ooru Super Singer 2021 and a contestant for Big Stage Tamil. The talented young star has also performed at the Payanam Thodarum musical concert.

Barath Nair had won the category of special jury award along with RM3000. His mesmerising performances on stage for songs like Oh Sugamari and Tillana Tillana had completely silenced the juries. The 24-year-old singer hails from Cheras and is a student at Universiti Tenaga Nasional.
