Rajinikanth’s next project is “Thalaivar 170” with TJ Gnanavel. The historical success of “Jailer” has set the bar high for Thalaivar’s upcoming projects as there are intriguing announcement. As ‘Thalaivar 170″ is directed by TJ Gnanavel, the prominent director who is known for his previous movie “Jai Bhim“, Thalaivar will be joining hands with Lokesh Kanagaraj, the most wanted director in Kollywood industry for his next project which is tentatively titled as “Thalaivar 171”.
“Thalaivar 170″ is bagged by ‘Lyca Production”. This is the first time Rajinikanth is collaborating with TJ Gnanavel. TJ Gnanavel’s ‘Jai Bhim‘ starring Suriya, Manikandan, Lijomol Jose in lead roles was a sensational hit which conveyed the emotions to the audience through the depth of the storyline that holds a strong social message. Hence, this direction of TJ Gnanavel with Superstar is much anticipating.
Lyca Productions has been revealing the casting of “Thalaivar 170”. Earlier, we shared updates on the producer, Mr Subaskaran, Director TJ Gnanavel, Music Composer, the rock star Anirudh and Dushara Vijayan as well. As fans were waiting for the full line up, Lyca Productions has been revealing one by one. After Dushara Vijayan, they revealed Ritika Singh to be part of the film. Ritika is well known for her performance in “Irudhi Suttru”. Followed by that, Manju Warrier also is joining the casting of “Thalaivar 170”.
Later on, fans were much more excited after coming across an update confirming that Rana Daggubati. Rana’s character in “Bahubali” is still our favourite. He is unstoppable in delivering a antagonist performance and at the same time it is known that he is capable of being portrayed as a romantic hero as well after watching his performance in “Bangalore Naatkal”. Fans are excited to witness what role will Rana be taking up in this film.
Next, as per rumours spread earlier, it is true that Fahadh Faasil is also part of this film. Fahadh has become one of the popular artists in recent times. His performance in “Vikram” and “Maamannan” is remarkable which will be remembered by fans.

It’s happening! The king of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan is on board for “Thalaivar 170”. This is unbelievable! Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan had act together in Hum(1991). This two legendary actors are sharing screen once again after 32 years! This is double the treat for their fans. Cinema fans are eagerly waiting to witness the King of Kollywood and the King of Bollywood together on the same screen.
Here comes the most awaited moment. The production house has finally revealed the main icon of the film, Superstar Rajinikanth. Thalaivar appears in the most stylish and classy look in the poster. Probably, he is shown in full black hair style. Fans are much anticipated to witness the star in new look.
