Malavika Mohanan is currently working on her upcoming film Thangalaan with Pa. Ranjith. Set to be a historical drama, Thangalaan brings forth the true story of the Tamil Dalits who migrated to the Kolar Thangavaya Fields and worked there as exploited gold miners. The actress had taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to answer some burning questions from fans about many topics surrounding the film industry.
The actress has shared that so far, Thangalaan has been the most challenging role she has taken on, for it demands an immense amount of emotional and physical dedication from the actress.

Malavika has also shared that her favourite film of last year was the Dhanush-starrer Thiruchitrambalam, which was hailed as one of the best comfort films in recent times. The plot, dialogues, and characterization were praised immensely by both the public and critics at large.

Apart from Dhanush’s film, Malavika has also expressed that one of her personal favourite films is Theri, directed by Atlee and starred the famous Vijay. The actress had worked with the famed actor on the film Master, which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Vijay’s upcoming film Leo, also directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is set to release worldwide on October 19.

The young actress had also shared her liking for Ajith, as she too is a bike lover. Ajith is currently in talks to feature in Magizh Thirumeni’s Vidaa Muyarchi.The shooting of the film has not commenced as of yet. Fans are eagerly awaiting its updates.
