Malaysian Indian Cine Awards To Return Again!

Malaysian Indian Cine Awards ( MICA) returns for the 2nd edition this year. This award ceremony aims to honor achivements of Malaysian Indian Cinema industry through over 40 categories.

Some of the categories include Feature Films, Shortfilms, Most Popular. This year, the organisers have decided to add in new categories involving TV Magazine, TV Drama and Telemovies.

The award is aimed to honor the technical aspect of film making. Many technicians in Malaysia go unrecgonised due to the size of the industry. 

A total of 13 films have been submitted and over 300 nominees are said to contest for the awards. The organisers of MICA promise to make this event more bigger this year.

The jury for MICA consists of independant panel of jury who are industry standard professionals. TV categories will be evaluated by RTM and ASTRO.

Only for the Most Popular Category will be choosen by the public.

The award was very organised in 2018.

MICA has been endorsed and supported by KKMM, FINAS and TOURISM BOARD OF MALAYSIA and 15 other creative industry NGO’s.

The highlight of this award ceremony, is that the content for this is a 100% Malaysian Indian content.

MICA 2019 will be broadcasted in Astro Vaanavil in June 2019.

MICA AWARDS 2019 will be held on 22nd May 2019 at HGH Convention Hall, Sentul, KL at 6PM. For more info, please visit www.micaawards.com.
