Prasanth Ilangowen, a young talent has launched a new music video 1 month ago. The song titled “Nila Velicham Nee” has been released on Prasanth’s YouTube channel. Hailing from Klang, Selangor, Prasanth started his musical journey as an enthusiastic keyboardist at the age of 7. Gradually, he expanded his skills to encompass singing, composing, and playing the guitar, captivating audiences with his stage performances throughout his teenage years.
However, his journey didn’t stop there. At the age of 23, he reached a significant milestone in his musical evolution. This marked the moment when he transitioned into a fully independent composer and songwriter. To celebrate this transformative phase in his career, he released his very first single on YouTube, thereby sharing his artistic talents with a wider audience and commencing a new chapter in his musical story.
When we asked about what sparked Prasanth interest in music, he said that,
I grew up in a family that loves music and I was inspired by beautiful songs. Wonderful tunes composed by various composers sparked my interest in the music industry. Inspiration from my idol, AR Rahman boosted the interest to further venture into compositions. Moreover, my family and friends supported my musical works and performances throughout the years and it keeps me continuing to do more.
The foundation of Prasanth’s love for music, nurtured by his family, serves as a testament to the unifying power of music. The fact that music has been a constant presence in his life is not just a testament to his talent, but also a reflection of how music can transcend boundaries and bring people together.

Prasanth has successfully composed and released two songs, which are “Nila Velicham Nee” and “Kadhal Yennoduthaan”. Notably both songs are Prasanth’s independent compositions.

My debut song, “Kaadhal Yennoduthaan,” marked an experimental venture for me. I took on the role of crafting the melodies and arrangement, personally overseeing these aspects of the song’s creation. In a collaborative effort, my family’s business client and a highly respected Malaysian artist, Santesh, took charge of the beats, recording, mixing, mastering, and the subsequent release of the song. Through this collaborative experience, I gained invaluable insights into the entire process of bringing a song to fruition, a remarkable learning opportunity.
It’s worth noting that the song was officially released on Santesh’s Rentak Angkasa YouTube channel, signifying a significant milestone in my musical journey. This first-hand experience, from composition to release, laid the foundation for my future work in the music industry.
Armed with the knowledge and a melody I had been composing since the age of 13, coupled with a few lines of lyrics that had been lingering in my mind, I embarked on a personal musical journey where I released “Nila Velicham Nee” my second song.
This journey involved creating lyrics, providing my own vocals, and collaborating with a friend on the video, his first foray into cinematography. I also delved into mixing and mastering with the guidance of Boy Radge. It was a challenging but deeply fulfilling process. I’m grateful for the opportunity to produce a quality music video and hope it resonates with millions of hearts. This is just the start of my artistic path.
