The 16th BOH Cameronian Arts Awards (BCAA) will be held on the 28th April 2019 at Pavillion Hotel, KL. This premier award function aims to celebrate outstanding performances in dance, music, theatre and musical theatre performed.
I am Ravana- A journey with Rama, was a musical play presented as an alternate take on the Indian epic Ramayana. The play engages the audience to consider the shades of good and evil.
The play has been nominated under a few categories.
Miri-born singer Zee Avi and former Aswara dean of dance Joseph Gonzales have been named as the award’s Game Changers.
The theme for this year’s award is Mulanya Di Sini (It starts from here). It is aimed to honour the beginnings of performing arts practitioners who made their mark in the industry.
In conjunction to this event, Boh as the tea company celebrates its 90thanniversary.
The Cammies is split into the categories of musical theatre, dance, music and theatre. Recipients will be awarded an exclusive Boh Cameronian Arts Award trophy and RM1,000 cash prize.
Kakiseni will also be providing access to the Best of Awards winners. Winners can pitch their shows to potential sponsors for a full sponsorship; to attend the Australian Performing Arts Market next year.
