Kalai Sangamam is a cultural programme organised by the Tamil Language Society of University Malaya. This entertaining programme will be happening today, December 22, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Perdanasiswa Complex, University Malaya. The event will feature some astoundingly talented performances from the university students as well as celebrity guest appearances from exceptional actors such as Irfan, who had given a phenomenal performance in Director Saresh‘s Naam Katra Isai, as well as the renowned Karnan, who had also recently delivered a breathtaking role in Director Kabilan‘s Ninaivo Oru Paravai.

Aimed at fostering and nurturing cultural expression, this programme will feature traditional dances, singing, and drama performances, among many other talented expressions. This event is aimed at building a greater cultural consciousness and developing creative talents that will contribute to the cultural ecosystem of the nation. Art is a vital part of societal development; the expression of a culture’s self-respect and identity is reflected and radicalised by good art. That is why it is all the more important for Malaysian Tamils, who are a minority in this country, to use art as a medium for societal enhancement. It is crucial that more students understand the value of art and show aspirations towards strengthening the media representation of Tamil life.

Tickets are priced at RM10 and are open to both students and the wider public at large. Those who are interested in attending can do so by registering through this link. For more information, please contact Suvarna at 011-31075350 or Nivetha at 012-5502344.
