Lotus’s Stores(Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Lotus’s Malaysia) successfully created a memorable Christmas celebration for 300 children in the Klang Valley this year. This was achieved through the collaborative efforts of Lotus’s Malaysia employees, customers, and mall tenants who actively participated in the Lotus’s Playful and Joyful Moments Secrets Santa initiative.

In an official statement, Lotus Malaysia announced that as part of their program, Lotus’s Selayang warmly hosted children from various welfare homes. The beneficiaries included Karunai Illam Welfare Home in Kepong, House of Joy in Puchong, Yayasan Sunbeams in Ampang, Praise Emmanuel Children’s Home in Petaling Jaya, and Rainbow Home in Cheras. This gesture reflects Lotus’s commitment to extending a warm welcome to children from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of inclusivity and joy during the event.

Additionally, the festivities extended to include children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Kepong in Kuala Lumpur and Persatuan Kebajikan Warga Tua Wilayah Persekutuan, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Ephratha in Rawang, Sweet Care Home in Selayang, and Good Samaritan Home in Klang. This demonstrates Lotus Malaysia’s inclusive approach, ensuring that the Christmas celebration reaches a broader spectrum of children across various charitable organizations, reinforcing their commitment to spreading joy and warmth during the holiday season.

In addition to receiving presents and enjoying the presence of ‘Santa’, the children were treated to an immersive experience during the Lotus’s Playful and Joyful Moments Play Date. This special occasion featured engaging activities showcasing popular Mattel brands such as Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Polly Pocket, and Scrabble. The initiative aimed not only to provide gifts but also to create a playful and joyful atmosphere for the children, allowing them to engage in entertaining activities associated with well-loved Mattel brands.

It is also stated the feedback on this year’s initiative has been outstanding, with numerous underprivileged children—some of whom may never have received a gift before—anticipated to have their wishes granted. The response underscores the success of the program in reaching and positively impacting the lives of these vulnerable children during the holiday season. Lotus’s Malaysia Corporate Services Executive Director, Azliza Azmel, expressed that the campaign, running until January 1, 2024, is driven by their #KitakanJiran spirit. The company aims to extend the festive joy of Christmas to children who may not anticipate receiving gifts this year.

“Many are excited about the year-end holiday season and are fortunate to spend it with their family and loved ones. However, we know it can be tough for some,” she said.

In the meantime, Melissa Wong, the Head of Lotus’s Malls, expressed the company’s joy at the positive reception of their efforts to transform their malls into more family and children-centric spaces. Lotus is pleased to see that their commitment to creating environments that cater to the needs and preferences of families and children has been well-received by the community.

“Thanks to everyone who supported our effort and this worthy cause to help put a smile on children’s faces this Christmas,” she said.

The delightful festivities of Lotus’s Playful and Joyful Moments are set to persist until January 1, 2024, across multiple locations, including Lotus’s Mutiara Damansara, Lotus’s Selayang, Lotus’s Klang, Lotus’s Rawang, and Lotus’s Kepong.

Details about the campaign can be found on a special webpage on the retailer’s official website. Customers can also stay informed about the upcoming engaging activities and workshops by visiting Lotus’s Malaysia’s Facebook and Instagram pages, where exciting updates and information will be regularly shared.
