On this auspicious day of Kaanum Pongal, Malaysia Hindu Sangam Bukit Bendera Local Council has come up with an initiative of distribute the Thaipusam Festival Guide to the students of SJK(T) Ramakrishna, Penang.
This Thaipusam Festival Guide helps the students of Ramakrishna to get much wider view of Thaipusam. This guide comes in bilingual Tamil & English. The one who are comfortable with Tamil can read in its own and others who have the problem of not understanding of Tamil can read it in English. The initiative of spreading this guide to primary school students should be appreciated where they are educated with proper knowledge of Thaipusam since young.
This guide also have been briefed to the students in their morning assembly, This event has been attended by 300 students. Malaysia Hindu Sangam Bukit Bendera Local Council also thanked SJK(T) Ramakrishna teachers S.Tharmaambal & P.Letchumi, for this initiative to be achieved.
This initiative has been followed by Malaysia Hindu Sangam Bukit Bendera Local Council, to distribute the guide to all schools & temples around Bukit Bendera Parliament. Until now, they have successfully distributed to 2 schools and 1 temple.
This organization also helping school managements by contributing reams of A4 paper and RM 1,500.00 to reduce the school expanses burden. The Malaysia Hindu Sangam Bukit Bendera Local Council has been doing it for the past 9 years. We believe that Malaysia Hindu Sangam Bukit Bendera Local Council will continue doing the good deeds and support Indian community to achieve more.
