GVM’s ‘Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha’ is Possibly to Have a Connection with ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’

Director Gautham Vasudev Menon’s next directorial project, “Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha” is set to hit the big screens tomorrow, 1st March 2024. In a recent press interaction discussing the film ahead of its release, the director hinted at the potential connection with the universe of Vikram-starrer “Dhruva Natchathiram,” which is yet to be released. He mentioned that a connection exists between the two movies, and audience will discover that upon watching the film.

Highlighting Dhivyadharshini’s (DD) role in Joshua, Gautham Vasudev Menon (GVM) reveals the film’s association with the Dhruva Natchathiram universe. He discloses, “DD collaborated with me on Dhruva Natchathiram, and I informed her that the character in Joshua is almost identical to her portrayal in Dhruva Natchathiram, possibly an extension of it.” Subsequently, he elaborates, “There exists a connection that will be unveiled when you witness Dhruva Natchathiram.”

He additionally disclosed that the movie is of an experimental nature, falling within the action genre. Emphasizing that this marks his initial collaboration with newcomers, he expressed satisfaction in achieving the precise vision he envisioned. Furthermore, he mentioned that the film’s success upon its theatrical release could potentially pave the way for an extended series, as the narrative itself sets the groundwork for a potential sequel.

As Gautham Vasudev Menon’s much-anticipated directorial venture, “Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha,” gears up for its cinematic debut on March 1, 2024, the director’s intriguing hints about its potential ties to the universe of Vikram-starrer “Dhruva Natchathiram” have heightened anticipation. With the revelation of a connection between the two films, the promise of an experimental action-packed narrative, the movie promises an immersive experience.
