Ambedkar Jayanthi and International Convention is set to unfold on April 14th and 15th, 2024, at the Idel Convention Centre in Shah Alam, Selangor. This event marks a pivotal moment for the Ambedkarite movement in Malaysia, embracing the legacy of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and his enduring commitment to social justice and equality. Admission for Malaysian nationals is free, while all foreign delegates have to pay USD 150.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will grace the occasion as the special guest on April 14, 2024, arriving at 3 p.m. His presence underscores the government’s recognition of Dr. Ambedkar’s monumental contributions and the significance of this event in fostering social cohesion and inclusivity.
Oms Thiagarajan and Deputy Minister of National Unity of Malaysia, Saraswathy Kandasami, serve as the official advisors for this event, lending their expertise and support to its success. Furthermore, the esteemed presence of Bhimrao Yashwant Ambedkar, grandson of Dr. Ambedkar, adds a profound dimension to the occasion, reinforcing the global resonance of Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals.
With an anticipated attendance of over 1500 participants from across the globe, including representatives from various nations, this convention symbolises a collective effort towards advancing the principles of equality and social justice espoused by Dr. Ambedkar. The event will also host the 5th Dr. Ambedkar International Mission Convention, further amplifying its impact on the international stage.
The second day of the event, April 15th, will pay tribute to visionary leaders such as Kanshiram Ji, Rajkumar Kamble, Kashi Krishna, T. N. Urkude, and others who have dedicated their lives to the cause of social reform.
