Mari Selvaraj unveiled the first-look poster of his upcoming film, “Bison,” on May 6th, igniting excitement among cinema enthusiasts. This project marks an intriguing collaboration between Mari Selvaraj and the talented young actor Dhruv Vikram, promising a pioneering narrative in Tamil cinema.
Titled “Bison,” this venture is Mari Selvaraj’s fourth directorial endeavour and is co-produced by the renowned filmmaker Pa Ranjith, adding further anticipation to its release. The musical reins of the film are entrusted to Nivas K. Prasanna, celebrated for his memorable compositions in the 2014 mystery thriller “Thegidi.”
Set against the backdrop of sports, “Bison” is set to be an epic drama chronicling the life of a famous Kabaddi player, portrayed by Dhruv Vikram. This biopic sports drama not only showcases the raw energy of the sport but also delves into the personal and political journey of its protagonist.
Joining Dhruv Vikram in this film is Anupama Parameshwaran, who plays the role of the leading lady. The ensemble cast also includes seasoned actors like Lal, Pasupathy, Rajisha Vijayan, Kalaiyarasan, Azhagam Perumal, and Harikrishnan, among others, promising a stellar performance.
The commencement of shooting for “Bison” was marked by a traditional pooja ceremony, attended by the industry’s luminaries. Chiyaan Vikram, a stalwart of Indian cinema and Dhruv’s father, graced the occasion, adding a touch of familial pride and support.
