Archana Kalpathi, one of the producers for Vijay’s upcoming film GOAT, recently shared on her Instagram stories that the film has officially entered post-production. The Venkat Prabhu-directed film features Vijay in dual roles, with a star-studded cast including Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Mohan, Jayaram, and Sneha. The film is set to release worldwide on September 5, 2024.
Yuvan Shankar Raja, in his second collaboration with Vijay since “Pudhiya Geethai” and his tenth with Prabhu, has composed the music and background score for the film. The first single, “Whistle Podu,” garnered a mixed response from fans initially, there’s optimism that its reception may improve over time. Despite the mixed reactions, it swiftly became South India’s most-viewed single lyrical video, amassing 25.5 million views within 24 hours, surpassing the previous record set by “Arabic Kuthu” with 23.7 million views. The release of the second single is slated for June.
In addition to this, Archana also provided an update on ‘Dragon’, AGS’s new film starring Pradeep Ranganathan and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu. The first schedule of ‘Dragon’ has been completed, and the second schedule is set to begin in June. The cast of the film includes Pradeep Ranganathan, Mysskin, K. S. Ravikumar, VJ Siddhu, and Harshath Khan, with music composed by Leon James, known for his work on ‘LKG’, ‘KO 2’, and ‘Kanchana 2’.
