SJKT Batu Caves is excitedly preparing for a spectacular Canteen Day event scheduled for the 8th of June, from 9am to 5pm. The Canteen Day is poised to feature numerous food stalls offering a wide variety of delicious foods, along with fun games and sports activities to enhance the festive atmosphere. The Parents, Teachers Association (PIBG) of the school has set a target to sell at least 10,000 tickets for this highly anticipated event.
The funds raised through the Canteen Day will play a crucial role in meeting the basic needs of SJKT Batu Caves. Currently, efforts are underway to introduce digital learning for the students, a transformation that comes with an estimated cost of approximately RM200,000 for the school. The proceeds generated from the Canteen Day sales could potentially contribute towards realizing this initiative, ensuring that students have access to modern educational resources and technologies.
Simultaneously, few logistical items utilized by the school students have incurred damage. In collaboration with the school administration, the Parents, Teacher Association has undertaken various initiatives to address these issues. As part of these efforts, the Canteen Day has been organized. The proceeds generated from the event are earmarked to fund the repair and restoration of these essential facilities, ensuring a conducive learning environment for all students.
Furthermore, this event has the potential to strengthen the relationships among parents, teachers, and students within the school community. It provides an opportunity for them to bond and foster mutual understanding, ultimately enhancing collaboration and cooperation in support of the school’s mission and objectives.
The renowned Malaysian artist, Ganteeban, has joined hands in this initiative, lending an additional layer of excitement to the event. With his participation, the event is poised to be even more captivating and memorable. It is set to unfold in a grand manner, with students, parents, former students of the school, and members of the public all cordially invited to participate and partake in the festivities.
