Prasadh Michael Rao, producer at KiniTV, passed away yesterday at the age of 34. He leaves behind his father, Michael Baboo Rao, and his sister, Priyanka.

By 2013, he joined KiniTV as a broadcast journalist, and in 2018, he was promoted to news producer. His work at KiniTV included anchoring two programmes, through which he made a significant impact on journalism and social conciousness in Malaysia.

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil expressed his condolences, saying, “My condolences to his family members and friends at Malaysiakini” on the social media platform X.
