Documenting a wedding has become a highly competitive venture for creative folks to express the art of raconteury. In the whirlwind of drone shots, bokeh and slow-motions, wedding photographers and videographers attempt to document the magic of the moments when two become one and eternalise the sweet memories with shutter clicks and footages.
In celebration of these creative folks, the Malaysian Indian Wedding Photographers & Videographers (MIWPV) Convention will be hosting an array of events such as Seminars, Gala Dinner, Competition and Awards Ceremony on the 20th July 2019 at The Everly Hotel, Putrajaya. MIWPV Convention aims to power the development of the industry and become the key platform that provides education, information and inspiration for industry professionals.
The first (MIWPV) event was organized in 2015 to gather and cultivate a growing community of Indian wedding photographers and videographers with the aim to address the lack of learning and networking support for industry professionals. Fast forward to 2019, the MIWPV now sees 6 judges hailing from 5 different countries come together under one prestigious platform.
The key speakers at the event includes Subra Govinda (Subra Govinda Photography), Leonard Hon (Leonard Hon Signature), Vinoth Raj Pillai (VRP Photography), Veatha Kumar Rajagopal (Byond Pix) and Logan Raj (Logan Studios). This will also be the second time that photographers and videographers will be honoured in an award ceremony. The MIWPV Awards 2019 sees an assemblage of judges from across the world such as Subra Govinda (Subra Govinda Photography), Ajith Prasenna (Pixelena Studio), Anthony Barlan (Anthony Barlan Photography), Shana Mahendran (Black Magic Creations), Leonard Hon (Leonard Hon Signature) and JK Wicky (Ugly Duckling Studio).
This year, the MIWPV Convention also aims to encourage more women in the wedding photography and videography to get more involved in the activities and drive for an industry with zero gender-based discrimination. Varnam MY is proud to be the Official Online Media Partner for the MIWPV Convention and we will be providing more insights and stories from behind the lenses.
Tickets for the event are priced at RM220 – Early Bird tickets (1stJun – 20thJun 2019) and RM250 (Normal ticket). Tickets can be purchased via TicketApps (Available in Android and iOS App Store).
