As per reports and social media buzz, it is expected that Thangalaan will hit the big screens in August. Adding to this speculation, reports suggest that Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated film, Pushpa 2, which was scheduled for an August 15 release to coincide with Independence Day, is being pushed to a later date. This has further fueled rumours that Thangalaan will now be released on August 15. However, the makers of Thangalaan have yet to officially announce the release date.
Directed by the acclaimed Pa Ranjith, Thangalaan is a period drama set in the historic Kolar Gold Fields. The film boasts a stellar cast, including Vikram, Parvathy, and Malavika Mohanan. Thangalaan chronicles the lives of Tamil Dalits workers of the Kolar Gold Fields in Karnataka during the pre-independence era, providing a gripping narrative of their anti-colonial struggles and triumphs.
Produced by Studio Green, the movie features music composed by GV Prakash, with cinematography by Kishor Kumar and editing by Selva RK. As the anticipation builds, fans eagerly await the official release date to be confirmed.
