Samantha Ruth Prabhu To Make Her Malayalam Debut Opposite Mammootty

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, a renowned actress widely acclaimed for her work in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi cinema industry is all set to make her debut in the Malayalam film industry. According to a recent reports, Samantha will star in an upcoming action thriller, sharing the screen with the legendary Mammootty.

The yet revealed movie will be directed by the Gautham Vasudev Menon. Samantha is slated to begin shooting on June 15 with Mammootty joining her five days later on June 20. This project marks an exciting milestone in Samantha’s illustrious career, known for films like Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Shaakunthalam, 24, Mersal and many more.

Samantha’s last film

Samantha was last seen in the romantic drama “Kushi”, and shared screen with Vijay Deverakonda. The film received mixed reviews but was a commercial success, earning over Rs 70 crore at the box office. Following “Kushi,” Samantha took a hiatus from acting to focus on her health after being diagnosed with Myositis. She recently resumed work and shared her enthusiasm about her upcoming projects. She also ventured into a health podcast, which she described as something she is extremely passionate about.

After years of hardwork, Samantha announced the launch of her own production house, ” Tralala Moving Pictures”. On April, she announced the title of the first film from the production house, “Bangaram”. The film she teased on her birthday with a poster showing her in a fierce stance, holding a double-barrel gun.

Upcoming Projects

In addition to her Malayalam debut, Samantha will be seen in the Indian version of “Citadel”, co-starring Varun Dhawan and directed by Raj and DK. The storyline of this series connects with the original version featuring Priyanka Chopra. She is also working on Bangaram.

As Samantha prepares to take on the Malayalam film industry, her fans eagerly await the exciting developments in her career.  Fans are excited to see Samantha in the Malayalam Industry, especially with the collaboration of Gautham Vasudevan Menon and Mammootty.
