Rajinikanth is gearing up to begin filming his next movie, “Coolie,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. This project will be the 171st film in the iconic actor’s illustrious career. Although he has not yet confirmed his subsequent project officially, there is a growing buzz that the legendary Superstar might team up with director Karthik Subbaraj once again. Rajinikanth previously collaborated with Karthik Subbaraj on the film “Petta,” which was a major success, grossing over Rs 200 crore at the box office. “Petta,” considered one of Rajinikanth’s memorable blockbusters in recent years, featured music composed by Anirudh.
According to reports from News 18, following “Coolie,” Rajinikanth might reunite with Karthik Subbaraj for a second collaboration, though official announcements are still awaited. In the meantime, it has been revealed that in “Coolie,” Rajinikanth will share the screen with actor Sathyaraj, marking their first on-screen appearance together in 40 years.
On the professional front, Rajinikanth will be seen in the upcoming film “Vettaiyan,” scheduled for release on October 10. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the movie features an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, and Manju Warrier in leading roles. The music is composed by Anirudh. Currently in post-production, the film completed its shooting last month. Rajinikanth is set to begin filming “Coolie” after finishing the dubbing work for “Vettaiyan.”
Should the collaboration between Karthik Subbaraj and the Superstar materialize, fans can look forward to another potential blockbuster from this dynamic duo. Stay tuned for updates to find out if this exciting project will come to fruition.
