MBO Cinemas at Atria Shopping Gallery has permanently closed its doors as of June 20, 2024. This closure comes ahead of the originally announced date. On June 14, 2024, the cinema had announced via its social media platforms that it would be shutting down on June 30, 2024. However, circumstances led to an earlier termination of operations, marking the end of its presence at Atria Shopping Gallery ten days earlier than anticipated.

On June 20, 2024, the cinema announced on social media that unforeseen technical issues necessitated an immediate closure that very day. The announcement also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the community for their unwavering support and affection over the years. This abrupt end came despite a prior notice on June 13, 2024, which had indicated that the outlet would remain open until June 30, 2024.

However, movie enthusiasts who frequented MBO Atria can visit nearby MBO locations, including:

  • MBO Quayside Mall, Kota Kemuning
  • MBO Brem Mall, Kepong
  • MBO Harbour Place, Klang
  • MBO Space U8, Shah Alam

MBO Cinemas at Atria Shopping Gallery first opened its doors in January 2019, roughly a year before COVID-19 impacted the country. Over the past six years, this MBO Cinemas location has provided exceptional service, comfort, and unforgettable cinematic experiences. Movie enthusiasts will fondly remember these moments and express their gratitude to the cinema.
